Salo Levinas
A practicing architect for nearly 20 years, Salo Levinas has been recognized for his architectural and furniture design in the United States and Argentina, where he was educated. His work, reviewed favorably in The Washington Post and Museum and Arts magazine, is noted for its fluid lines, functional integrity and distinctive style.
Levinas began his professional career as a partner in a firm in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he designed high-end residences and retail commercial projects, including shopping malls. As editor of the architecture section of La Razon, the leading daily newspaper of Buenos Aires, he interviewed world-renowned architects and wrote critical reviews.
In 1982, Levinas established a practice in Connecticut, and later moved to Washington, D.C., where he founded a real estate development firm that produced high-end residential and commercial projects. For more than eight years, he also was the principal of Salo Levinas Architectural Design, which completed a wide range of commercial and residential projects. In 1995, he joined with Milton Shinberg to form Shinberg.Levinas.
