D.C. Prep is a prominent school in the north east part of the city that expanded its campus to include both a middle and an elementary school. This project renovated a two-story warehouse to house Pre-K through third grade. Classrooms are generous in space and light. The lofty ceiling height is used to advantage, to create an open, welcoming environment.
The project was executed under an extremely tight timeline to achieve occupancy before the start of the school year. Extensive coordination with the contractor, owner and particularly with city utility and transportation agencies was required for the success of the project.
