This 26,000 square-foot addition and renovation aims to expand B'nai Shalom's established school and administrative areas, expand and reconfigure its main worship space, and expand the social hall in order to accommodate larger events such as weddings and bar mitzvahs.
    By working closely with the client, we are producing a much more unified, efficient and expressive architectural solution while keeping within their tight budget.
    The educational component consists of a new wing that serves as the nursery in the mornings and the religious school in the afternoons. With 14 classrooms and seven nurseries, the wing has its own entrance and identity, with a direct relationship to the outdoors. Yet it blends harmoniously with the rest of the synagogue. Using movable partitions, the classrooms have built-in flexibility to accommodate classes of all sizes.
