Ribbon Cutting Rocketship Rise Academy

On October 11, 2016, we celebrated the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of our latest LEED PLATINUM school: Rocketship Rise Academy in Southeast DC.  Retired Professional tennis player Andre Agassi, School Officials, Architect, Builder, and the school community attended this fantastic event.

Rocketship  is a 58,000 sft Pre-K, Kinder and Elementary School Building to host 800 students. The school includes 26 classrooms, three special education classrooms, two cafeterias, learning labs, lobby, nurse’s suite, administration offices, gym, and multiagora space. The project achieved LEED PLATINUM Certification - the highest level of certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Andre Agassi is a big supporter and advocate of Rocketship Rise Academy. The Turner-Agassi Charter School Facilities Fund, has raised more than $500 million for school construction and helps charter schools grow until they reach maturity.
