Maria Gorodetskaya, AIA NCARB
Maria Gorodetskaya is a principal at Shinberg.Levinas. Maria holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University, and is a Registered Architect in DC. Her technical expertise, attention to detail, problem-solving focus, and strong organizational skills position her well to manage projects and teams. Maria is committed to realizing the integrity of a project’s design intent from concept to completion. She maintains long term client relationships and connects the designer’s vision to the client’s goals at every stage of the project path, overcoming challenges and researching solutions to maintain that shared success.
Maria’s results-driven and owner-focused approach brings value to each project and generates trust that lives on long after construction is complete. Her calm disposition and natural listening skills make her approachable by a broad range of stakeholders. This is demonstrated through her most frequent project types: institutional facilities, public and private schools, faith-based architecture, multi-family residential, and single-family homes.
In addition to project responsibilities, Maria is responsible for recruitment and quality control. As a Principal, she is integral to the development and execution of business development strategy for the firm. She balances the creativity of design with the pragmatism of management.
Maria’s past projects include award-winning and frequently published Carlos Rosario Int’l PCS, and Mathewson and Woods Residences.
Prior to joining Shinberg.Levinas, Maria was a designer with Kohn Pedersen Fox in NYC, where her experience included masterplans for new and revitalized communities in the United States and Asia, commercial office and mixed-use projects. She values bringing the rigor of an international firm to a design-focused regional practice at Shinberg.Levinas.
